GNSC Fall 2024-Spring 2025 Travel Team Evaluations: Starting Week of May 27th
Starting the week of May 27th the Club will be holding evaluations for our Fall 2024/Spring 2025 Girls and Boys Travel Soccer Teams. The Club's intention with these evaluations is to add NEW Boys/Girls U8/U9 Travel Teams and NEW players to our existing Boys and Girls U9-U12 Travel Teams.
Any player NOT on a current GNSC Travel Team roster, who wishes to be evaluated for a GNSC Travel Team, must be registered on or before May 27th in order to participate in the evaluations. Players must make at least 1 of the 2 evaluation sessions to be considered for a Travel Team, and must be fully committed to the Game and Training Schedule outlined below.

WHAT IS THE RIGHT AGE GROUP FOR MY CHILD?
Travel Soccer Teams are broken up by age groups (ex: U8, U9, U10), which are based on a player’s birth year (ex: 2015, 2014, 2013 etc.). Determining the age group your son/daughter would qualify to play in this Fall is simple: Year Spring Season Ends (2025) – Your Son/Daughters Birth Year = Eligible Age Group. For example, if your son/daughter is born in 2016 they would qualify to play on a U9 team this Fall: 2025 (Year Spring Season Ends) – 2016 (Player’s Birth Year) = U9 Age Group.
The Club reserves the right to combine age groups (as needed) to ensure there are a sufficient number of players.

Our Programs
Travel
Our boys and girls Travel teams compete in LIJSL and NYCSL, which are the prevalent leagues in our area. We have multiple teams playing in the top Divisions in those leagues along with mid level and lower level teams, which creates the opportunities for kids at all levels to develop and compete.
Intramural
Our Intramural Program runs in the Fall, Winter and Spring with Players seperated by grade. Players train 1x per week (in developmentally appropriate environments), under the purview of our Professional Training Staff.
Zero Tolerance Policy
All players, coaches, parents, referees and spectators are expected to demonstrate “sportsmanlike” behavior before, during and after games, scrimmages and practices. The Club has adopted a “Zero Tolerance Policy” towards verbal or physical abuse or harassment by anyone involved in the club in any capacity.
Severe penalties including seasonal suspension may be incurred by anyone demonstrating inappropriate behavior as deemed by the Board members of the Club.
