COVID-19 and Field Use Protocols

The Club has put in place specific COVID-19 protocols that ALL Supervisors, Trainers, Players and Parents MUST FOLLOW before being allowed to participate in any training sessions this season.  These protocols start with the active monitoring of each player’s health in order to help reduce the potential spread of COVID-19.  Thus, in order to attend a session this season ALL Players, Training Staff and Training Supervisors MUST formally report on their health prior to coming to the field (no earlier than 24 hours before their team’s practice/game, and no later than 10:00am the day of their session).  Here is the COVID-19 Survey for Players.

Our Field Supervisor will be actively tracking survey results and will NOT allow any Player (or Trainer) onto the field for if (A) the survey is not filled out before the Player/Trainer gets to the field or (B) the survey indicates that a Player/Trainer has potentially been exposed to COVID-19 and poses a risk to the session participants.

In the event that a Player/Trainer has tested either positive or has confirmed potential exposure, here are the steps the Club will be requiring before that Player/Trainer is allowed to return to the field:

  • For individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19: Written confirmation of COVID-19 negative status and/or clearance from their physician following the most up-to-date CDC guidelines to participate and return to activities.

  • For individuals who have experienced known COVID-19 exposure in the past 14 days: Written confirmation of COVID-19 clearance from their physician following the most up-to-date CDC guidelines.

Participant Responsibilities

Each participant must abide by these Field Use Protocols as well as all GN Park District and NY State Guidelines.  Failure to abide by these protocols may result in the termination of your child’s participation in this program.

Max Spectators Allowed per Player

We request that a maximum of one (1) spectator for each player attend, but will allow a maximum of two (2) spectators per player in accordance with Reopening New York State Sports and Recreation mandatory physical distancing requirements

Masks/Face Coverings

  • Players - A mask/face covering MUST BE WORN from the time a Player leaves their vehicle until they reach their designated “player station”.  Masks are NOT required to be worn by Players during the sessions or during breaks since the “player stations” will allow for proper distancing.
  • Spectators i.e. Parents/Guardians - A mask/face covering MUST BE WORN from the time a Spectator leaves their car to access the field until the time they return to their car at the conclusion of their child’s session.  There will be NO exceptions to this rule.  As such, please do not attend if you do not feel that you can abide by this requirement.

Checking In

ALL Players/Spectators MUST check in with the Adult Supervisor at the Field Entrance Gate (see field map) at least 15 minutes before the start time of their session.  The Adult Supervisor will then verify that the Player has completed their COVID-19 Self-Certification survey.  Once confirmed, the Players will be allowed to enter the facility but MUST NOT enter the playing field area until instructed to do so by our Training Staff.  NO player will be allowed to enter the field unless they have completed the survey.  No player will be allowed to enter the field if they are not registered in the Program.

At the Field

  • Player Area:  Once given the green light by our Training Staff, Players will head over to their designated “player stations”, which are cones/pinnies (spaced six feet apart on each assigned field) where each player will leave their bags/water bottles/snacks and return during water breaks (please see field map for designated Field numbers and locations.
  • Spectator Area:  Once given the green light by our Training Staff, Spectators will head over to the designated Spectator Area next to each field (denoted in red on the Field Map).  Spectators must remain in this area for the duration of the session, and are NOT allowed to enter a field for any reason. If a Player requires assistance from a Parent during a session, our Training Staff will escort that player to their parent in the designated Spectator Area.

Leaving the Field

Players/Spectators MUST immediately leave the field at the conclusion of their session using the Field Exit location (on the West side of the field next to the Tennis Courts).

If you have any additional questions regarding these sessions please contact Mike Mordocco, the Club’s Director of Coaching, via the following email:

Despite all the protocols and precautions, I/we are very excited to see your kids back onto the field.
